Credential vault

A password manager that doesn't stop at passwords

A free password manager that stores logins with categories, a built-in generator, and reveal-to-copy fields, then locks any single entry behind your account password so it stays hidden until you need it.

Why this exists

Is it safe to store passwords in Notion?

A Notion database is searchable, syncs to every device you're logged into, and has no field type built for secrets. If your Notion account is ever compromised, every password in it is in plain text. That hasn't stopped people from doing it anyway: there's an entire secondary market of “Notion password vault” templates trying to patch a tool that was never built to hold credentials.

Notlix gives you the same at-a-glance organization, categorized entries, search, one page, without storing secrets in plain text next to your meeting notes. Turn on “require account password to view” on any entry, and revealing or copying it demands your login again, even if someone is already inside your open dashboard.

What you get

What does the Notlix password manager include?

Categorized by default

General, work, finance, email, shopping and more, so a growing list of logins stays scannable instead of becoming one long undifferentiated list.

Built-in generator

Generate a strong password on the spot instead of reusing one you can already guess.

Reveal, don't expose

Every value stays masked until you choose to show it, with a one-click copy that never prints it to the screen unnecessarily.

Password-gated entries

Mark any entry “secure” and viewing or copying it requires your account password again, a second lock most vaults don't offer per-item.

Questions

Frequently asked about Passwords

Is it actually unsafe to keep passwords in Notion or Google Docs?

Yes. Both are built for notes, not secrets: values sit in plain view in the document, they sync widely across your devices and any shared workspace, and a single compromised login exposes everything at once. Notlix keeps each password masked until you reveal it and can require your account password again before showing or copying it.

What does “require account password to view” actually protect against?

It adds a second checkpoint on top of being logged in. If you step away from an unlocked laptop, or a browser session is still open, a secured entry still needs your password re-entered before its value is shown or copied.

Can I duplicate a password entry?

Yes. Duplicate creates a copy with the same category and secure setting so you can spin off a variant login without retyping the shared parts.
